About Thrive Gonstead Chiropractic

Born from a belief that everyone deserves to live without pain and with the freedom to do what they love.

Our Story

Where It All Began

Thrive Gonstead Chiropractic was founded on a simple premise: that great chiropractic care — the kind that actually changes lives — should be accessible to everyone. Too many people live with chronic pain, accepting it as an inevitable part of modern life. We knew it did not have to be that way.

Our founders, Lucas and Ruth, both experienced firsthand the profound impact that precise, Gonstead chiropractic care can have. After years of study and clinical practice across multiple countries, they came together to build the kind of practice they had always wanted to be patients of — one defined by clinical rigour, genuine care, and lasting results.

Since opening our doors, we have helped hundreds of patients — from desk workers and athletes to newborns and seniors — reclaim their health and discover what it truly feels like to thrive.

Our Mission

Why We Do What We Do

We are on a mission to raise the standard of chiropractic care and help people live healthier, freer lives.

Precision Care

We use the Gonstead System — the most specific chiropractic technique available — to ensure every adjustment is exactly where it needs to be.

Patient-First

From the moment you walk in, every decision is guided by what is best for your long-term health, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Clinical Excellence

Our practitioners pursue ongoing education and hold advanced certifications to maintain the highest standard of care.

“It brings me joy to see my community live a thriving life — empowering you to achieve what you set out to achieve, without being held back by poor health.”

Lucas completed his Bachelor of Science in Chiropractic at International Medical University (IMU), Malaysia. Since then, he has served communities across Kuala Lumpur, Cairns, and Melbourne, before founding Thrive Gonstead Chiropractic in Bandar Rimbayu, Selangor.

What sets Lucas apart is his dedication to mastering the Gonstead System. Since 2019, he has actively engaged in domestic and international seminars organised by the Gonstead Chiropractic Society Australia, driven not by credentials but by genuine conviction in the method.

Beyond the clinic, Lucas has represented Malaysia twice at the World Games in Ultimate Frisbee, in 2018 and 2024, both times as team captain. He’ll tell you the experience was never really about the competition. It was the people and the moments along the way, a lesson he carries into his practice where meaningful connections matter just as much as the care itself.

“I know what it feels like to grow up in pain and not understand why. Chiropractic gave me my life back — and now I get to do that for others. That never gets old.”

Ruth completed her Bachelor of Science in Chiropractic at International Medical University (IMU), Malaysia, graduating top of her class with Dean’s List honours and the Tun Zahir Award. She has since served communities across Kuala Lumpur, Cairns, and Melbourne before co-founding Thrive Gonstead Chiropractic in Bandar Rimbayu, Selangor.

Her path into chiropractic is personal. Growing up with scoliosis and debilitating migraines, it was the Gonstead approach that gave her answers when nothing else could. That experience shapes how she practises today, with patience, precision, and genuine empathy for what her patients are going through.

Ruth holds a Webster Certification and has a particular dedication to women’s health, pregnancy, and paediatric care. She has been deeply committed to mastering the Gonstead System, actively participating in domestic and international seminars organised by the Gonstead Chiropractic Society Australia. Currently, she is completing a postgraduate course in animal chiropractic, expanding her scope beyond the human spine.

Outside the clinic, Ruth dives, boulders, and keeps active at the gym. She genuinely believes in living the lifestyle she encourages in her patients.

Our Method

United by Gonstead

Both practitioners are trained in the Gonstead technique — a highly specific, evidence-based method of chiropractic analysis and adjustment that focuses on identifying and correcting the underlying causes of spinal dysfunction for superior, long-lasting outcomes.
